短期工作签证允许申请人在一段时间内以工作目的在新西兰停留。
短期工作签证适用人群：
- 有新西兰雇主offer；
- 为了特别的目的或事件来新西兰；
- 获得新西兰工作经验，或者留学后工作；
- 和配偶团聚，并且在新西兰工作。

免签：下列申请人无需申请新西兰工作签证直接就可以入境工作：
- 新西兰公民
- 持有新西兰居留签证的人
- 持有特殊的临时（外交、领事、官方）签证
- 持有军事签证
- 澳大利亚公民
- 当前持有澳大利亚永久居留签证的人（如果签证上有限制条件，则需要申请居留签证）
- 当前持有澳大利亚居民返回签证的人（如果签证上有限制条件，能需要申请居留签证）

新西兰短期工作签证申请条件

- 申请人的护照有效期至少早于离境日期前的3个月；
- 工作目的真实；
- 持有与工作类别相符的签证。

持有临时工作签证在新西兰参加学习或培训
持有临时工作签证在新西兰参加学习或培训，但是必须满足：
- 每个签证最长学习时间不能超过3个月；
- 如果签证有效期多年，在每12个月的周期内，学习时间不能超过3个月；
All temporary visa holders may study for:
- up to three months per visa or
- three months in every 12-month period if the visa is granted for multiple years. You won’t need to apply for a student visa or variation of conditions.
If you’re here on a work visa and you want to study full time for longer than three months, you need to apply for a student visa.
If you are here on a work visa and you want to study part time for longer than three months, you can apply for a variation of conditions to your current visa.

新西兰工作签证申请费
在中国申请工作签证的费用（2015 年 12 月7 日更新的）：
- 工作签证伴侣类是RMB1985元 工作签证其他类别申请费是RMB1530元
- 申请人需要向签证中心支付签证服务费225元人民币；
- 需要邮寄护照而非亲自前往签证中心取件的申请人，需要支付每本护照人民币50元的邮费。
如欲通过邮寄的方式返还您的护照（不亲自前往申请中心取证），请交纳邮费。
申请费、服务费及邮费可以通过以下方式支付：
- 如果亲自前往签证中心递交，可以现金的方式支付。
- 如果通过邮寄申请，可以银行转帐。
